Sampling laboratory

OCE is a Sampling Laboratory, accredited by COFRAC since 2008. OCE works on asbestos, wood dust, refractory ceramic fibres, lead, dust without specific effect and crystalline silica.

The different contexts of our interventions

Regular observation

To establish the asbestos fibre concentration in the air during the utilisation of the place

Work site test / process validation

To estimate the risks of workers’ inhalation and to define the dusting level of a process

End of work site

Determine whether the asbestos fibres concentration in suspension in the air of the treated area has been reduced to an admissible value. To confirm the lack of pollution and allow finishing work companies to work safely.

SS3 / SS4 Work

To determine the asbestos fibres concentration of the places directly affected by the making of upkeep work.

Respect of the exposure limit value

We check if the asbestos fibres concentration do not exceed the value obtained during the process validation.

Second return

To determine if the asbestos fibres concentration in suspension in the air is reduced to an admissible value in order to allow the reoccupation of the places.

We follow a well-defined process for each intervention

The strategy

The strategies are made according to the NF EN ISO 16000-7 standard of septembre 2007 and its implementation guide in France : GA X 46-033.

Before the establishment of the strategy, we realize a site visit. Our strategy managers will operate the asbestos diagnostics and your withdrawal plan.

You will receive the strategy so that we can negotiate about it and have a formal agreement about the strategy delivered.

Then you will have to present the strategy to the occupationnal health service.

Environmental measures

Our samplers will check the relevance of the strategy elements before the submission of sampling pumps. They can adapt the strategy or call the strategy manager if necessary.

Samplers analyse the risk and protect themselves with equipment designed for the intervention.

The installations comply with the sampling conditions of GA X 43-033 and the strategy recommandations, especially regarding the suspension.

Measure of operators

Based on your process we design a strategy, taking into account the dusting awaited of total dust and asbestos fibres. We create an homogeneous exposure group and we adapt the sampling time.

The samplers analyse the risk and protect themselves with equipment designed for the intervention.

The installation comply with the sampling conditions of GA X 43-033 and the strategy recommandations.

All our equipment is maintained and verified in order to secure their metrologic qualities.
